Boar Wheel was founded with one purpose in mind, to virtually eliminate trailer tire blowouts on light and medium duty trailers. To that end, we have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in developing and testing to create the right wheel specifically for the best tire for trailer applications. With over 90 years of combined experience in the tire industry, we knew the right tire for heavy trailering applications. We just needed the right wheel that could hold up as well as the commercial grade tires. Boar Wheel was created to supply the product to fill that need.

Originally we started out in the tire business in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Eventually, moving to Berthoud, Colorado to start and run High-Tec Retreading which would eventualy become TreadWright Tires in Edgemont, South Dakota. Now, after 20 years in beautiful Hot Springs, South Dakota, we have established Boar Wheel as the new industry standard for those who demand highest quality product and refuse to settle for second best.
Rick Hawkins, Jr. and Joel Hawkins run the day to day operations as they did before selling TreadWright in 2012. Rick Hawkins, Sr. acts as a valued consultant providing his vast years of industry experience to mix. Together, they act as team to continue to provide the same high standards they have come to be known for.
